Delivery Test Manager – Dublin

The Client:

Our client, a leading bank in Ireland, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Delivery Test Manager to work in Ireland.

What you are expected to have:

  • Over 15 years of experience in a Test Management Role
  • Strong experience in the Banking domain – Payments/Capital Market / Commercial Lending/Retail experience is a must
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work with offshore test delivery teams and onshore project delivery teams
  • Expertise in managing test activities and delivering test strategy, designing tests, and managing test documentation
  • Strong experience in creating detailed test plans and work breakdown structures
  • Proven ability to provide test estimates for timelines and resourcing
  • Expertise in managing test delivery against schedules and driving test activities
  • Experience driving automation initiatives within testing teams/applications
  • Strong knowledge of test phases and ensuring smooth, high-quality deliveries
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills related to test defect management
  • Proficiency in managing and coordinating the usage and upgrades of test environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable supporting and directing the work of offshore test analysts/leads/managers
  • Ability to participate in regular meetings with project management to communicate accomplishments, plans, and risks
  • Jira / Confluence experience is desirable
  • ISTQB or equivalent qualification is desirable
  • Ability to manage and escalate RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions) with a mitigation plan
  • Experience in collaborating with project management teams to handle operational transactions and new project requirements
  • Ability to represent the company onsite and serve as the face of the organization in the testing track

What you will do:

  • Work with offshore test delivery teams and onshore project delivery teams
  • Manage test activities by performing requirement analysis, creating test strategy, test designing, low-level test and environment plans, documentation, and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Provide test estimates for “in-scope” items – timelines and resourcing
  • Create detailed test plans and work breakdown structure to illustrate resource allocation and scheduling tasks
  • Ensure test delivery against agreed testing schedules, proactively driving test activities forward to ensure progress
  • Drive automation within the team/applications by engaging with Automation Shared Service
  • Manage all test phases to ensure smooth and high-quality deliveries
  • Manage and escalate RAID with a mitigation plan
  • Be accountable for the closure of test defects and drive the defect management process
  • Manage and coordinate the usage and upgrades of test environments
  • Participate in regular meetings with project management to communicate accomplishments, plans, issues, and risks
  • Act as the point of contact for functional test resources onsite to handle/support project-level or operational transactions and support new project opportunities/requirements
  • Be the face of HCL onsite in the testing track
