Maintenance Engineer – Machine Safety Expert – Cork

The Client:

Our client, one of the leading companies in Ireland, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Machine Safety Expert to work in Cork, Ireland.

What you are expected to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a MedTech manufacturing environment.
  • CMSE certified professional
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and maintenance regulations and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in maintenance or related fields (e.g., CMRP, CPMM).
  • Experience in conducting maintenance audits and inspections.
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.

What you will do:

  • Develop and document detailed maintenance procedures for electrical equipment specific to the MedTech manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of existing maintenance practices and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to implement maintenance best practices.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Monitor compliance with maintenance schedules, and update procedures and schedules as needed.
  • Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate equipment failures and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to maintenance and electrical engineering within the MedTech sector.
