There are plenty of open roles on the internet offered by small-scale businesses to large giants in the industry. What you need to understand is while there are lots of opportunities, only a few will align with your acquired skills, goals & expectations.
Taking a few minutes to scrutinise the desired job role along with the required skills is critical. Be selective about what you are applying to.
2. Be active on Job Portals
Utilising the available market to land with an offer is of utmost importance. Fix time to spend on active job portals. List out the companies that are offering the same job roles like the ones that suit you. Monitoring the openings is crucial as some positions get filled soon after the company announces them.
3. Networking
As the companies tend to decrease their hiring rate, be sure to increase your networking activity. Now that you have the desired skills, and you know companies offering the same job roles, start networking. Use portals such as LinkedIn to get in touch with people working within your aimed organisations. A job referral stands a higher chance of conversion than the routine procedure.
4. Mock Interviews
The internet has made your interview preparation a lot easier. You can watch unlimited interview examples to practice before you get one. Mock interviews are the best way to help you drill through the
process. Moreover, companies are conducting online interviews these days. Learning to handle online platforms will help you save time & also avoid last-minute panic.
5. Problem-solving skills
Every organisation wants to accelerate its growth process. Fresh strategies, creative campaigns, fixing old schemes are a few concepts everyone wants.
For example – Try to work around the product the company is offering. And make sure you bring the research on the table during the interview. It eventually conveys the recruiter about how interested you’re in the job role. Also, a problem fixer is most wanted. If you assure them of solving ways to deal with, you stand better chances.
At first, include such examples in your resume or the e-mail that you send. Probably describe the strategies you used to market your application back in college or at the present job.
